Amino Investment Holdings is a renewable energy business that manufactures biodiesel from used cooking oil. Biodiesel can be produced from a variety of feedstocks, Its compatibility with existing diesel engines makes it an accessible and practical solution for reducing the environmental impact of transportation.

As the founder of INO-Biodiesel, Mahlatse is dedicated to producing and supplying certified clean fuel, specifically biodiesel. She is also recognized as an International Leadership Youth Climate Negotiator, demonstrating her commitment to global climate initiatives and sustainable practices.

​Makhukho Makunyane
​Masimo Indigenous Crops

Makhukho Makunyane is the visionary behind Masimo African Indigenous Crops.

Her roots are in Gauteng Province, and recently work took her to a rural Limpopo province, where she collaborate with indigenous crop suppliers who also serve as invaluable indigenous knowledge holders.

​Masimo Indigenous is an Agro-processing natural African Indigenous Crops with high nutritional content that is serve them as fresh, frozen and dry, and are tested for nutritional content at SABS.

​Masimo was established to tell the rich story of the Africa’s natural, exquisite cuisine and also produce products preserving the high nutritive value, the taste, the cultural heritage of the Indigenous crop and dishes.

Kathryn Whittaker
Maven Clothes 

Kathryn Whittaker pursued a BCom in Marketing at Stellenbosch University. She later embarked on an international adventure, working and traveling abroad.

Over the years, Kathryn gained diverse experiences, including a 4-year stint in London at an advertising agency as a designer and In 2010, co-founded a marketing consultancy named 2-IC Marketing Solutions with a friend. She later joined Maven in 2022. 

​
Maven is a curated collection of second hand clothes, shoes and accessories for women, men and kids. They have an online shop and deliver throughout South Africa. They also have a studio shop in Cape Town.

Devroll Green

Devroll is the founder and CEO of Devroll Green. They have a background in financial management and gained valuable experience through an internship at the Limpopo Tourism agency, focusing on the financial sector.

The journey of Devroll Green commenced in 2020 amid the COVID-19 lockdown, with a primary focus on herb farming. As Devroll continued to expand their farming
endeavors, they achieved a significant milestone by winning the AFASA Start-up Farmer of the Year award in 2021. This recognition encouraged them to diversify into cultivating various vegetables, including spinach, peppers, and chillies.

Devroll Green farm vegetables and sell them to agro-processes,formal retailers and bulk quantities clients.

Maryam Karaan is the co-founder and director at DERMA et al., a cutting-edge beauty tech startup specialising in the creation of scientifically formulated skin care products tailored for individuals with diverse skin tones.

In addition to her role at DERMA et al., Maryam has recently  completed her MSc dissertation in Chemical Biology at the University of Cape Town. 

Derma et al. is a Manufacturing, retail and wholesale that currently offers a skincare line consisting of four products. These products contain optimal concentrations of active ingredients, determined by clinical studies and the scientific literature, suited for sensitive skin and skin of colour.

Her company specialises in handling all categories of waste, from industrial and biological to household, municipal, organic, biomedical, and even radioactive waste. This ensures the safe and responsible disposal and treatment of waste.

Their "handmade" products is their way of creating sustainable jobs. They have hand-made products such as laundry baskets, planters, trays and other decor products from recycled or environmentally non-invasive material.

Her company collects mangoes from the local community and produces mango atchar. They also make
 tea that is produced from the hibiscus flower at an affordable price.
