Do I have to be a 'start-up' to apply for the Africa Innovation Fellowship?
No, not necessarily. We encourage businesses who have been operating for some years to apply for the incubator. The world is evolving every day, and so are business practices.
Do you consider start-ups in the ideation/R&D stage?
Yes, we do.
How long must the company be operating to be considered?
The duration of the company's operation is not being considered i.e. there is no limitation.
Does the business need to be revenue generating to be considered?
No, it does not.
Do I need to be an entrepreneur in a specific business sector to apply?
No. We are inviting early-stage, start-up, women-owned and led businesses with an engineering related business idea. We are interested in entrepreneurs with businesses in STEM.
Will I be able to do this programme virtually?
The programme is designed as a hybrid (virtual and in-person) offering commencing in November 2022, with a seven (7) month post programme support.
