Manoko Selolo is a visionary environmentalist and the driving force behind a sustainable revolution. Armed with a BSc Degree in Water and Sanitation from the University of Limpopo and a BSc (Hons) in Environmental Management from UNISA, Manoko boasts a remarkable twelve years of expertise in the environmental and water sectors. Her passion lies in crafting innovative solutions for water, sanitation, and waste management, making her a trailblazer in the field.

Manoko's extensive experience spans diverse projects in the provinces of Limpopo and Mpumalanga, as well as, international ventures in Mozambique and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Her hands-on involvement in compiling Water Use License Applications aligns with the provisions of the National Water Act, while her adeptness in preparing Environmental Impact Assessment Reports adheres to the stipulations of the National Environmental Management Act.

Beyond her academic and professional achievements, Manoko is the founder of a groundbreaking initiative dedicated to plastic reuse. This venture focuses on manufacturing recycled products that not only contribute to the reduction of environmental impact but also serve as a sustainable alternative for both plastic reuse manufacturers and the broader public. By championing the reuse of plastics, Manoko is at the forefront of driving positive change, creating a ripple effect that extends from local communities to a global scale.

Recently, she made a significant decision to resign from her role in healthcare, redirecting her focus towards exploring alternative economic, land, healthcare, and other models that promote dignity and sufficiency for everyone.

Heather is a multipotentialite, thriving on connecting seemingly disparate issues and organizing them in ways that create a win-win-win configuration. Her approach centers around ensuring that solutions benefit all parties involved, embodying the principle that if the answer isn't a win-win-win, the optimal solution is yet to be found. Heather's current venture involves bringing a self-sustaining Urban Regenerative Agriculture model to Cape Town, addressing some of the region's entrenched social problems.

This Regenerative Urban Farming model holds the promise of delivering numerous benefits to individuals and groups who may not even be aware of their mutual needs. Heather's organization acts as a catalyst, designing and iterating with these diverse groups, ultimately creating a platform for them to work synergistically towards their individual goals. Magdale is a passionate designer and product developer residing in  Rosendal in the Eastern Free State, South Africa. Her deep-rooted concern for the environment and her dedication to assisting the less fortunate have driven her to create a transformative venture: Van der Vloed Design.

Magdale aims to combat environmental pollution while simultaneously addressing the housing crisis faced by the impoverished communities in her area and Zambia. Her innovative solution involves repurposing plastic waste to create building materials, specifically plastic bricks, which serve as the foundation for affordable, eco-friendly houses. Not stopping at just providing shelter, Magdale extends her vision to crafting furniture for the interiors, all made from recycled plastic. In doing so, she is promoting a circular economy.

Van der Vloed Design stands as a beacon of hope, addressing three critical challenges simultaneously. First, the initiative prevents waste from polluting the environment. Secondly, she provides an answer to the housing crisis by offering affordable recycled building materials, ensuring that low-income individuals have access to safe and sustainable homes. Lastly, her venture assists companies in fulfilling their Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) and Corporate Social Investment (CSI) obligations, fostering a sense of corporate social responsibility.

Lerato Mosoeu is a driven entrepreneur hailing from the charming town of Virginia in the Free State.
